Preparing Submissions on Proposed Policy Statements and Plans
Lodging of submission
You should deliver, fax, email or mail you submission to the council in advance of the closing date (at least 40 working days after public notification for a proposed policy statement and plan and 20 working days for a proposed change or variation). If posting the submission, use registered mail to provide proof of delivery. Also send hardcopies of faxed or emailed submissions. If your submission is lodged after the closing date you can apply to the council for a waiver of the time limit. This is only likely to be granted if it does not prejudice other parties or unduly delay the process.
