Preparing Submissions on Proposed Policy Statements and Plans

Checklist

  • Use Form 5 of The Resource Management (Forms, Fees, and Procedure) Regulations 2003

  • Identify the proposed policy statement or plan on which you are making a submission.

  • Clearly identify the provisions on which you wish to make a submission

  • Clearly set out the reasons for supporting or opposing each provision

  • Identify the wording changes you are seeking to the provisions

  • Indicate that you wish to be heard if you are raising issues of substance and are available to attend the hearing

  • Indicate that you would be prepared to present a joint case with other submitters

  • Set out your submission clearly with readable typeface, wide margins, good spacing and liberal use of headings.

  • Sign and date the submission and provide your full name, address and telephone number

  • Lodge you submission with the council by delivery, fax or mail before the closing date.
