Submissions on Policy Statements and Plans
A review of a proposed policy statement or plan helps to identify whether or not it provides an adequate framework and management measures to address the issues of concern to you.
Once you have identified issues of concern you will need to prepare a written submission to lodge with the relevant council.
You will have an opportunity to lodge further submissions in support or opposition to the original submissions lodged by other persons. These cannot introduce new topics or issues.
If you have lodged a submission or further submission and indicated that you wish to be heard, you will be given the opportunity of presenting oral submissions and evidence at a hearing convened by the consent authority.
