Before preparing your submission you will need to assess the resource consent application to identify what aspects of the application you wish to support or oppose. Once you have identified issues you would like to raise in a submission, you will need to prepare a written submission, to lodge with the consent authority and serve a copy on the applicant.
Form of submission
Submissions must be prepared generally in accordance with Form 13. Many councils have produced their own submission forms based on Form 13.

Presentation of submission
Try to make your submission as clear and easily understood as possible. Use a readable typeface such as Arial point 10 or 11 with wide margins, ample spacing and liberal use of headings.
