Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment

How can the PCE help you?

The Commissioner may investigate concerns lodged by members of the public in relation to environmental issues and the manner in which public bodies handle such issues. It is important, however, that you take your concern to the responsible public authority before bringing it to the Commissioner.

You can lodge a concern by letter or email (info@pce.govt.nz). Your concern should include your name, postal address, telephone number, email address (if you have one), description of concern and whether or not you would like your identity protected.

The Commissioner also regularly investigates and reports on environmental issues, and these reports can provide useful information to support submissions.
