Mnistry For The Environment

Environmental Protection Agency

What costs are involved?

The EPA has a policy of cost recovery from applicants. This includes:

  • Not charging for initial meetings with applicants to discuss the process
  • Prior to the application being lodged, recovering any subsequent costs incurred by the EPA
  • Recovering all costs incurred in processing an application and in providing a recommendation to the Minister on whether the application should be called in. This includes the costs of the public notification and submission process and of commissioning any reports.

Further information on the EPAs policy for cost recovery can be found here.
