Reform in Paradise: threat or opportunity?

SKYCITY Convention Centre, Auckland, 8-9 June 2009

New Zealand's environmental management institutions were largely established during the late 1980s, as part of the broader governmental reorganisation of that time. More recently, concerns have been expressed about the ability of these institutions, both national and regional, to effectively address current environmental and infrastructural issues facing the country.

Reform in Paradise will focus on critically examining how well New Zealand's current environmental governance structure is performing and how it might be strengthened in the future.
